To All Industry Members:
The ACMA today formally rebrands itself The American Commerce Marketing Association. For members and others, the changeover will be virtually seamless. Here are the key changes:
- Why the name change? The new name reflects the reality that ACMA’s core issues affect all remote marketers and direct sellers. Founded in 2007 as a means of giving catalog mailers a seat at the table in the setting of postal rates, over the years we’ve taken on several other key issues, such as remote sales tax collection, consumer data privacy, and most recently, the de minimis loophole that allows packages to be shipped from abroad) without tariffs and bypassing bans on imported goods made with forced labor. These issues impact all direct sellers for whom the ACMA advocates.
Still the ACMA: Our acronym is highly recognized in Washington circles and will continue to be our preferred “name.” The written-out name will serve as our formal/legal name. We’ve always aimed to improve our members’ bottom lines, period. This subtle change reflects that mantra.- See our new website: The biggest “splash” we’ve made is by flipping the switch on our new website. We urge you to check it out at www.CommerceMarketing.org .
- Busier than ever: Just know that the ACMA will continue fighting the fight in Washington to build on an impressive track record of positive results for our members. Our formal name has been changed, but our relentless work on your behalf will only intensify.
- How to reach us: Below you’ll see minor changes in ACMA staffers’ email addresses. Our 800-509-9514 main line remains intact, but it’s easiest to use these individual numbers:
