Beyond his and the ACMA Tax Committee’s ongoing and tireless work with Senator Maggie Hassan and her team in Washington to move a Federal remote sales tax collection bill to the Senate floor, the committee’s Chairman Brad Scott has been working since April 2019 with Vince Leach (above), who served in the Arizona State House from 2015 to 2019, then its Senate from 2019 to 2023. Brad and Sen. Leach worked during that time on model legislation for remote businesses selling into Arizona.
Unfortunately, Sen. Leach lost his reelection bid in 2022 and we lost our fiercest supporter in the Grand Canyon state.
But he is running again this year and could use your help. Why? “In the Arizona legislation, Senator Leach adopted many of the recommendations that the ACMA has promoted in Congress, relying heavily on the experience of our business community,” Brad Scott (left) said. “While in office, he regularly met with state legislators from across the United States to discuss issues and policies.”
What’s more, he routinely invited Brad Scott to speak to audiences during those meetings, helping to amplify our issue and our solutions. Whether you’re based in Arizona or any other state, here’s how you can help: If possible, attend a fundraising reception to help out our friend Mr. Leach; the details are below. If you can’t get to Phoenix next week, please consider making a contribution to his re-election.
